visceral-rock track is a brave refusal to break in "fall apart"
April 18, 2021: The broken glass of unmet dreams and expectations could threaten to scar even the strongest among us. By standing up in the face of life’s challenges, rock band GABRIEL’s upcoming single reminds us just how strong we are when we are put to the test. For some, the “test” may involve tension in relationships while for anyone like GABRIEL, it involves overcoming years of obstacles in the pursuit of his passion, music. Set to release on April 30th, 2021, “Fall Apart” gives listeners permission to bend, without breaking.
“If we’re honest,” Gabriel Metzger muses, “I think we all feel broken and helpless, at times.”
At age nine, Gabriel first wrote the riff for “Fall Apart” through a visceral experience playing his PRS Tremonti guitar for the first time; little did he know this song would become the catalyst which led him to pursue rock music as opposed to blues, a style for which he was known. Years later, GABRIEL picked this riff back up and finished it out with lyrical assistance from his former vocalist and production by Joe Kaltenbach at Red Amp Audio. Although this song began with lead guitarist and songwriter Gabriel Metzger, “Fall Apart” was engineered by Jody Boyd and Andrew Uvarov alongside musicians Phil Walker (Lead Vocals), Keith Horne (Bass) and Jody Boyd (Drums); although it’s been a long time in the making, “Fall Apart” is the first song GABRIEL ever wrote.
Named Top 10 Under 20 at the 2018 Dallas International Guitar Festival, Gabriel fuses his blues-inspired roots with heavy rock influences for a sound that is dynamic, hard-hitting and lyrically solid. To date, Gabriel has opened for Tony Jackson and Jackson Ward, Danny Kensey's Cedar Creek and Big Gun;
played the guitar at a packed Kingston Mines alongside Linsey Alexander and has played shows best described by the phrase: “standing room only.” With just over 8K+ plays on his debut single, “What A Shame,” GABRIEL’s music has been featured in The Hype Magazine, Rockpit, The Auricular, ReviewFix and Skope Magazine.
On the other side of 2020, a time that proved challenging in more ways than one, “Fall Apart,” invites listeners to draw power from within. “In the end,” GABRIEL says, “you will find the strength to overcome.” To catch that feeling, don’t miss “Fall Apart,” out April 30th, 2021.
